La caricatura en el cómic: un recorrido histórico del humor gráfico

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es mostrar la aparición y desarrollo de la caricatura en el cómic. Por medio de un recorrido histórico observaremos cómo la representación del gesto y el cuerpo humano por medio de un dibujo exagerado, no realista y/o grotesco, permitió que la caricatura se consolidara como una de las herramientas fundamentales y críticas dentro del humor gráfico, especialmente en el cómic.

The objective of this article is to show the appearance and development of the cartoon (or the drawing style called “cartooning”) in the comic language and medium. Through a historical journey we will observe how the representation of the gestures of the face and the human body by means of an exaggerated, unrealistic and /or grotesque drawing, allowed the cartoon to consolidate itself as one of the fundamental and critical tools of graphic humor in comics.
