Nuevas subjetividades infantiles: la identidad múltiple de Calvina en la obra de Carlo Frabetti

Abstract

El objetivo del presente artículo será demostrar que la novela Calvina (2007), de Carlo Frabetti, pone en juego una serie de estrategias retóricas Neo-subversivas que desestabilizan los binomios hegemónicos (niño-niña, normalidad-anormalidad) a partir de los que se clasifican las identidades infantiles y que permiten más bien pensarlas como un proceso en constante desplazamiento. Así, primero analizaremos cómo la figura retórica de la ironía invierte los roles tradicionales para niñes y adultes. Posteriormente, abordaremos el rol de la parodia que revela la cualidad intertextual de toda identidad gracias a la contigüidad entre el estatuto transgénero de la narración, que se mueve entre lo maravilloso, lo fantástico, lo extraño y lo paródico, y el género ambiguo de le protagonista. Finalmente, revisaremos los efectos en el texto de la paradoja que funciona como una síntesis que modifica el significado tradicional de los objetos que designa y que cuestiona la supuesta homología entre sexo y género. The objective of this article will be to show that the novel Calvina (2007), by Carlo Frabetti, brings into play a series of “neo-subversive” rhetorical strategies that destabilize the hegemonic binomials (boy-girl, normality-abnormality) from which children’s identities are classified and that rather allow us to think of them as a process of constant displacement. Thus, we will first analyze how the rhetorical figure of irony reverses the traditional roles for children and adults. Later, we will address the role of parody that reveals the intertextual quality of all identity thanks to the contiguity between the transgender status of the narrative, which moves between the wonderful, the fantastic, the strange and the parodic, and the ambiguous genre of the leading character. Finally, we Will review the effects in the text of the paradox that functions as a synthesis that modifies the traditional meaning of the objects it designates and that questions the supposed homology between sex and gender.
