dc.description.abstract | The crisis originated by the arrival of covid-19, caused uncertainty, fear and discouragement in humanity. A new reality haunted us. Social isolation or forced coexistence brought with it conflicts, anxiety, existential emptiness, loneliness and the challenge of dealing with ourselves. Redirecting the life project and delving into our body and the body of others became necessary when the pandemic exhibited the vulnerability of the human being. Rationalism and pragmatism, typical of the contemporary world, had taken us away from the inescapable recognition of the mystery and the ethical call to solidarity, empathy and resilience. The Spiritual Help hotline symbolized the opportunity to provide listening and accompaniment to people who felt the urge to delve into spirituality, to regain peace or to obtain an antidote against anxiety and fear of death, illness and an uncertain future. It provided a space for a spiritual calling, to touch each other through the encounter that did not allow us to know the face of the other, but, instead, their fragility. Trough love and a spirit of service, meaningful experiences were woven and Deep reflections arose regarding the value of spirituality.
